Survey 56 - "The Big Four are desirable companies to work for amongst Accountants"
A recent survey from theACCOUNTANCYjob.com revealed 88% of staff in the accounting industry would want to work for one of the Big Four.
The Big Four include Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst and Young and PWC - they are the top accountancy firms and some of the most desirable companies to be a part of throughout an accountant’s career. Although, employees will achieve a great deal of experience, fantastic training, a superb career path and outstanding benefits, it is not always the route for everyone and obviously not an opportunity open to the whole industry. Working for these larger corporations can potentially mean you are overlooked, left out in the cold and in fact career progression can often be capped up to a certain level. There are thousands of accountancy firms across the UK and internationally offering great opportunities along with substantial support for those who either do not want to work for the Big Four or whom cannot – so all is not lost!
